I think it’s time to discuss “Guilty Pleasures”. A guilty pleasure is something that one enjoys despite feeling that it is not generally held in high regard, or is seen as unusual or weird.
I could tell you I collect dead butterflies or enjoy Watching The Kardashians. Having a guilty pleasure is generally seen as something you should be ashamed of. Well, let me crack this Pandora’s box wide open and tell you about the guilty pleasures I’m proud of!
Shakespeare is one of the greatest poets of all time! If he could write a poem about my love for food it would sound like this.
True love is a durable fire,
In the mind ever burning,
Never sick, never dead, never cold,
From itself never turning.
My love for food is BIG. People need to eat to live but I’m living to eat, baby! Especially Indian food. I’m talking about Butter Chicken, Dhal, Onion Bhadji, Saag Paneer and Naan. People who know me, know that wherever I go I will stock up on food. I will make a stash and store it in your cabinets. If you like it or not! I’m like a little hamster (lol).
Home is where my food is…
Have you ever heard of Gabriel Iglesias? A “fluffy” Latino who cracks jokes for a living? No? Then click here and get to know him because he’s my favorite comedian of all time. He is just super funny and he can make the most crazy sounds. Actually, as soon as he comes on stage you start laughing!
Another one of my favorites (and maybe also a guilty pleasure) is Trevor Noah. He’s good-looking and very intellectual and his comedy is witty. You got me with this combo! Trevor grew up in South Africa and life wasn’t all that easy for him. It’s just an unusual story and he made it all the way to the “Today Show”.
“Rub the top of the foot with your thumbs. Start at the tip of the toe and move slowly up to their ankle. Move back down their foot, starting from their ankle. Apply firm pressure with your thumbs …”
If you can do this… I’m yours. I am a sucker for foot massages. I just can’t help it. It’s the way to my heart.
Since I’ve shared my guilty pleasures… it’s your turn. Tell me in the comments! What’s your guilty pleasure?
