There are not enough blankets…

There are not enough blankets…

With this cold weather all I want to do is wrap myself in 20 blankets and lay on my couch and “Netflix and Chill” all day. Because this is real life I just can’t do that. For one I have to take care of my son. You know… feed him, nurture him, etc, etc. Let me share some of my all time favorite movies with you. I hope you enjoy them!

Shutter Island

Oeh! I love me some Leonardo Dicaprio. I love Wolf of Wallstreet, Catch me if you can, Inception. I love it all. But for the fall weather I need a good thriller. Shutter Island has it all. Leo (yes, we are on a first name basis) plays a U.S. Marshal who investigates the disappearance of a murderer, who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane. If the hair on the back of your neck do not stand up… are you even human? Well, enjoy!

Life of Pi

This magical movie about a surprising relationship between a boy and a tiger. The boy survived a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. I will never forget the magical cinematography and the beautiful story. I hope to some day show my son this beautiful piece of art.

Rupaul’s Drag Race

I don’t even remember why I started to watch this show but I know one thing for sure… It’s so fun, entertaining and heart-felt. These men are so creative. I admire each one of them. I don’t know how they manage to strut down the runway in 10 inch heels, while carrying a heavy dress and wig. This show made me laugh and cry at the same time. A must-see!

Devdas

What do you get if you mix dance, glam and tragedy in a bowl? Devdas! It’s a classic Bollywood movie and that’s exactly what this girl needs. An old-fashioned afternoon of love. And I have to give a shout out to Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit!

Friends

Do I really have to say more? This is my all-time favorite show. People used to call me Monica because I was a neat freak, just like her.  I loved Phoebe and Ross because they were such weirdo’s. I kinda felt a connection with them. I know every episode by heart and still laugh about the same old jokes. And who can forget the iconic phrase from the show? ‘How you doin’? Or the photo shoot Chandler couldn’t do and Joey tried to teach him. Or the famous secret “Fuck you” sign! I just loved it!

I enjoyed your blog. If you enjoyed Shutter Island as a movie, I think you might really enjoy the book. It was written by Dennis Lehane. Have a great day.
